Press Release, 5.11.2020
After Aerial stepped down from the active roster to prioritize his well-being, the need for a new player became apparent. ENCE initiated discussions with HAVU, expressing interest in acquiring Joonas "doto" Forss. The cooperation between the two teams continues to be fruitful, and we have reached a decision that all parties mutually agreed to.
ENCE has bought out doto's HAVU contract and signed him to a two-year deal. The details of the transaction are confidential between the concerned parties.
"After unfortunate events, we landed into a position where we needed to search for a new addition to our CSGO roster along with a new Head Coach. We did some research and came to the conclusion that we still want to keep a full Finnish lineup and coaching staff. After this ruling was set it was obvious that from the Finnish scene, doto could be a great addition to our lineup.
He's results-driven, motivated, and eager to prove his worth, all qualities you value in a professional esports player. Of course, we think he could also fit well into our roster and easily find his place among our guys. We are also very fortunate to have been able to acquire an experienced In-game leader as our new Head Coach in sAw to help us moving forward. I personally can't wait to see what they can do with us. Welcome aboard!"
- Niklas "Willkey" Ojalainen, General Manager at ENCE
doto has been a part of the HAVU roster since September 2019. He joined them after a brief term in KOVA during the summer of 2019. This 24-year-old player hails from Jyväskylä, and has won multiple events in the Finnish CS:GO scene and placed third in Flashpoint Season 1 with HAVU.
“[ENCE] is the biggest, most famous and most successful organization in Finland so it feels really good to be part of this team. ... It wasn't [an] easy decision to leave HAVU. We experienced a lot together. We were stuck in the US for a month and a half and know each other really well. It was a tough decision to make but I see it as a necessary move in terms of continuity of my career. You don’t really get these chances often. “
- Joonas "doto" Forss, ENCE TV interview
ENCE has been looking for a new Head Coach since Slaava “Twista” Räsänen was moved to an analyst position in September. After elaborate evaluation and interviewing a handful of candidates we are happy to announce the addition of Eetu “sAw” Saha as the CS:GO team new Head Coach.
Eetu is most recently known as the In-game leader in HAVU and helped them make a splash in the scene especially this year. He has now decided to step down from being an active player at HAVU and moves into the coaching position and takes the responsibility of helping out ENCE’s CS:GO team climbing back the ranks.
“Today marks a new chapter in my life as I will end my playing career and move on to a coaching role. It's a move I have been pondering on for a while. The time has finally come and now I can announce I am joining ENCE as a coach. This is a great opportunity that comes with great responsibilities. I believe we have a lot of potential and with hard work we will reach our goals! I am looking forward to start working with the team! #EZ4ENCE“
