After nearly four years of ENCE PUBG, our time with the game has unfortunately come to an end.
After long consideration, we’ve come to the decision to step down from PUBG Esports. With this, we’re also officially releasing the remaining members of our PUBG roster, Saku "SKUIJKE" Sajakoski and Sami "SkaV" Vaarala.
The roster was initially put together in 2019 to compete in the PUBG Europe League - Phase 1, where we took home the trophy. What followed was a long list of consistent high finishes, but reaching the European peak again eluded us.
"After 4 years in PUBG Esports, it's sadly time for us to step away from the title. We hit the highest high straight from the get-go in 2019 with our 1st roster winning PEL Phase 1, and, after that, had many other memorable moments and high placings through the years.
Our decision to step down from PUBG comes from following the changes in the game's esports structure. This has unfortunately made it financially unfeasible for us to continue fielding a roster in PUBG.
I personally want to thank every member that has been part of our PUBG team for everything they have done and achieved with us. Thank you for the memories; you were all amazing, and I wish you all the best for your future”, says Niklas "Willkey" Ojalainen, ENCE General Manager.
Through many iterations of the roster, the only constants have been Saku "SKUIJKE" Sajakoski and Jari "SENTEX" Sammalniemi, who we would like to especially thank for sticking with us through the years.
Most importantly, thanks to all the fans from around the world who cheered for us to take those Chicken Dinners. Remember to take honest!
