ENCE withdraws from Northern League of Legends Championship

We joined League of Legends in June 2020 with an all-Finnish lineup to compete in the then newly launched NLC. While we were excited to enter a new genre with MOBA, and the team only narrowly missed the playoffs in the Summer Split, we have had to make the hard decision to withdraw from the NLC and League of Legends as of now.

This year has been tough for everyone, including esports teams, due to the global pandemic, so we have had to re-evaluate where we have the resources to be involved. While we have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the NLC, we have had to make a strategic decision to discontinue our participation to focus on our other existing games and business plans.

We want to thank DreamHack and RIOT Games for facilitating a great platform for the Northern European League of Legends to grow and have us as a part of the new league's launch. A big thank you to our roster Arttu “Taikki” Sirkka, Juho “Nille” Janhunen, Anselmi “Simpli” Rintanen,  Aleksi “Kehvo” Merta, and Sebastian “Seffe” Tenn for representing us well over the past 6 months.

Our former players are free to pursue new career opportunities as free agents. We wish them the best of luck in their next adventure!
