Jere “sergej” Salo benched in mutual agreement

Jere “sergej” Salo has notified ENCE of his intention to step down from the active roster. After discussions with the team, coaching staff and the rest of the organization we have come to a mutual agreement that he will be removed from the playing roster. ENCE has come to an agreement with SJ Gaming to loan Tuomas "SADDYX" Louhimaa for the upcoming DreamHack Masters Europe Winter 2020.

Jere signed to ENCE in April, 2018 and has been one of the pillars of our Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team ever since. His achievements speaks for themselves with an MVP award from StarSeries S6 in late 2018, a Major finalist in IEM Katowice 2019, winning BLAST Pro Series in Madrid 2019 as well as being named the 13th best player in the world according to’s “Top 20 players of 2019” ranking.

After much consideration, Jere has come to a conclusion that he currently doesn’t have the necessary motivation to pursue forward in the intense world of professional Counter-Strike and has asked to be removed from the playing roster. He has decided to fulfill his Finnish military service duties starting January, 2021 and therefore will not be a part of the active ENCE roster for the time being.

Jere will remain contracted to ENCE and we are currently discussing the details for the duration of his military service. While Jere is an amazing player and has the talent to be one of the world’s best, we all agree that it is not beneficial for either party to continue without him feeling he can fully contribute.

We would like to wish Jere the best for his service and we hope our fans join us in saying we wil
