Press release: Mika Kuusisto appointed as CEO of ENCE eSports Oy

Helsinki, Finland, 29th of November, 2018

ENCE has established itself as the number one esports brand in Finland over the last 3 years. Especially 2018 has been a year to remember, as our players and teams have had record breaking results.

Our ambitious Counter-Strike: Global Offensive project, relaunched in April this year with the acquisition of superstar Aleksi "allu" Jalli together with the most talented Finnish players has seen tremendous growth over the past 8 months. The team was able to bring in the first ever CS:GO premier event title to Finland at StarSeries i-League Season 6 finals, winning $125,00 along the way. Even more breath taking has been Joona "Serral" Sotala's domination of the Starcraft II -scene throughout the year, winning 7 events including the WCS Global Finals as the first ever non-Korean in the games 20 year history.

The success we've had on the servers requires ENCE as a company to develop, so that we're capable of repeating these success stories across multiple games and to make sure that we are a team players want to be a part of as esports as an industry moves forward at high speed. To further strengthen the core of the company, ENCE eSports Oy has appointed Mika Kuusisto as the new CEO. Petri Hämälä, one of the company founders and our former CEO, will remain an integral part of the company, focusing on player development programs and bringing a new generation of super stars on to the world stage.

Mika has more than 15 years of international leadership experience. He has successfully built and scaled various sales and marketing teams for technology and gaming start-ups, and now takes a step in to the world of esports along with the existing management team behind ENCE.
