After paying us a short visit as a substitute during IEM Winter, Pavle "maden" Bošković now officially joins our active CS:GO roster.
As we announced on the 7th of January, our roster had decided to make some changes in order to be better prepared for the upcoming competitive season. This meant a new player would step in and replace Joonas “doto” Forss in the active roster.
Today, we’re pleased to welcome our new fifth player, Pavle "maden" Bošković, transferring to us from FunPlus Phoenix. Hailing from Montenegro, this 23-year-old rifler brings fresh new energy into our game with his team-oriented spirit and aggressive playstyle.
"maden brings in a lot of firepower and aggression, which can help elevate our play for the upcoming season!"
- Eetu "sAw" Saha, ENCE coach
We've already seen him wear the ENCE colors when he stepped in as a substitute for Snappi during IEM Winter 2021 in Stockholm, Sweden. Less than two months later, maden puts on the jersey again, now branded with his very own name tag.
Watch the interview and hear more of maden’s thoughts about joining ENCE.
"We are very excited to bring maden into the team! We already had a brief encounter with him at IEM Winter and he left a good first impression. Maden is a social and easy-going guy who gets along well with the team. Also, he brings in a lot of firepower and aggression, which can help elevate our play for the upcoming season! Rolewise, there will be some changes to make maden comfortable and make the team function better", says Eetu “sAw” Saha.
For the majority of his pro career, maden has been a part of a core roster that played under multiple different organizations, most namely GODSENT and FunPlus Phoenix. Playing with the same core for such a long time taught maden to value good friendships and making teammates feel comfortable in and outside of the game. Now joining ENCE, maden brings these skills and lessons along with him as he surrounds himself with a new group of teammates.
"I think I can make ENCE and Finnish people proud that I joined, even though I'm not Finnish.”
- Pavle "maden" Bošković
"Our goal for the year will be to keep up the good momentum and continue the work we started last year. There are some great tournaments coming up already shortly, the first of which is the IEM Katowice Play-In, and we have already started preparing for it. In the long run, our goal is to break into the top 10 again and consistently stay there and fight for the titles!" Eetu “sAw” Saha adds.
We’re eager to see maden and the rest of the team in action, first setting our eyes on IEM Katowice 2022.
