Meet the ENCE Academy Head Coach, George White!

We are happy to welcome George “Whitey” White to the team!

In March, we opened applications for the Academy Head Coach position, and the recruitment process has now concluded. We’re proud to announce George “Whitey” White, a 24-year-old British professional CS:GO coach, as the ENCE Academy Head Coach!

Despite initially looking for a coach with both English and Finnish language skills, George stood out from the other candidates and proved himself with his courage, passion, and sincere will to develop himself and future prospects.

“George’s expertise showed in every single stage of the application process that he is the one we should pick. We believe that we have chosen the best possible candidate.”

- Eemeli “Woomera” Ikonen, ENCE Academy Program Lead

George started playing CS in 2014 and first tried his luck as a player. From there he transitioned into the role of a coach, where he felt he could best contribute to the team’s success and utilize his experience from coaching football. Since 2019, when George became a professional coach, he has worked in multiple British organizations, most namely, Endpoint, and accumulated valuable know-how on the tactical and analytical side of CS.

“I aim to make ENCE Academy the most efficient program possible to give more insight into the fresh talents within the Finnish scene and provide the best foundation for players of all backgrounds.”

- George “Whitey” White

On top of his experience as a coach, George is well-versed in content creation. He looks forward to building a storyline that shows what it means to be a professional esports player and a part of a competitive esports team.

“I want the Academy to show aspiring players that a team with the right approach and work ethic can grow and gain success, motivating CS players worldwide with our results and content to never give up on their dreams”, George tells about his goals.

With the Head Coach now in place, we have begun to build the Academy roster. The tryouts are already underway and we are contacting potential players.

And remember, Esportal's ENCE Academy Ladder offers a real chance for YOU to be noticed by the Academy. There's still time to make it to the top of the leaderboards and fight for your spot in the ENCE Summer Event, hosted at our facilities.
