ENCE has decided to discontinue its R6 team operations due to business-driven reasons.
After careful consideration, we have decided not to submit a team for the next European Pro League. While our plan was to join R6 with a long-term investment, we have now chosen to exit the game due to the financial infeasibility.
ENCE’s CEO, Mika Kuusisto, opens up the decision: “We have failed to commercialize our R6 operations with the limited skin sales and partnership opportunities, and had to make a difficult decision to leave the scene for now. It has become clear that we would need to be an R6Share partner team in order to keep investing into the R6 scene and to build sustainable operations in the long term.“
While the roster will still be representing ENCE at the Malta Cyber Series VIII this upcoming weekend, the players are already free to explore new opportunities.
Our General Manager, Niklas "Willkey" Ojalainen, bids the team farewell: “Things don’t always go as you plan, and sadly, we can’t continue in R6 even if I would personally want to. Our team had their share of ups and downs, and they even almost qualified for some of the big events but, unfortunately, fell just short of the finish line. I really hope the guys get the opportunity to qualify one day; they definitely deserve it, as I have nothing but good things to say about how they were as people and work colleagues.
I want to give a special thank you to the ENCE R6 team manager, Olivier, for taking good care of the boys and helping with the language barrier. Best of luck to all of you for your future ventures.”
We want to thank Ubisoft and BLAST, as well as every player and staff member who represented ENCE in Rainbow Six Siege over the past year.
